Distinguishing Qadāʾ, Delayed Logging, and On-Time Prayers

I’d like to suggest a feature that allows more precise and intentional prayer tracking, grounded in Islamic concepts of accountability (muhāsabah) and improvement (iḥsān).

Often, I log prayers retroactively even when they were prayed on time the whole day, and at other times prayers I may have prayed late or made up as qadāʾ. Currently, these scenarios can look the same in tracking, even though they are spiritually and practically different.

Proposed option when logging a prayer late:
A simple prompt asking whether the prayer was:

•	Prayed on time but logged later
•	Prayed late (outside its time)
•	Prayed as qadāʾ (missed prayer being made up)

If “qadāʾ” is selected, the app could optionally:

•	Track the number of qadāʾ prayers over a given period (e.g. “3 qadāʾ prayers this week”)
•	Ask (optionally) for the reason, such as:
•	Forgetfulness
•	Sleep
•	Work/travel constraints
•	Other

Based on trends (not individual instances), the app could gently offer reminders or practical suggestions to help improve timeliness, without framing this as failure, but as growth.

This would help us users:
• Maintain honesty and clarity in their worship tracking
• Distinguish between completion of prayers and timeliness
• Stay accountable while still recognizing consistency in praying all five daily prayers

The goal is conscious improvement ensuring that even when all prayers are prayed, we are not missing the opportunity to strive for praying them on time.

Thank you for considering a feature that supports intentional worship and personal growth.
