Many people may not be afford to help but would like to share the reward monthly. Perhaps you could add a tier system as well so the barrier of entry is lower but still support your application and mission. For example:

4.75$
6.99$

Just a suggestion but I think that would also allow more people to join in the reward and leave it on autopilot
