AsSalamualaykum, I’m an experienced software developer and myself and others would love to be able to contribute to features and bug fixes for Pillars. This would be easily achieved by publishing the app’s source code on GitHub and allowing others to make pull requests. Similar to the Quran.com app and the numerous other apps which benefit greatly from the technical support of the Muslim ummah.

This would have the additional benefit of giving confidence in the privacy practices, while introducing absolutely no restriction on your ability to monetize the app with any future subscription model.

Are there any plans for open sourcing the app? I am very passionate about this and would love to assist in any way possible including with advice.

I am using a Pixel 6 and my friend Samsung 9, both of us are having the issue of setting the Fajr prayer notification to Athan, on my side it's for every prayer. Once I change it to silent I can't change it back to anything else for all prayers.

When the setting prayer times France (UOMF) is chosen the fajr and isha angles do not change correctly to 12°, instead they become 18°

Steps to recreate

1. Set prayer time calculation method to “France (UOMF)”
2. Check custom angles setting to see that it has become 18° instead of 12° which would be expected

I recently traveled and my prayer times have changed. When I came back to my original city, the location will not change and now says null. The prayer times are also incorrect

The homescreen widget on android does not update the prayer times unless the app has been opened. Really frustrating as I can sometimes go a few hours/days without opening the app and when I check the widget the prayer times are therefore wrong

the app was working for weeks but when i tried to Open it from the widget to update location it stopped working. i redownloaded it but when it opens and i skip the information about location it stops working and doesn't launch leaving it on gray screen

The qibla doesn’t move no matter what I do, I followed your 4 step procedure and it’s still not working

I got the grey block over qibla section it's appears after new update, i tried to uninstall and reinstall but it's still appears

I get this grey block over salah times each time i open the app, this issue is consistent since 8-10 months and it hasn't been fixed yet. i tried Reinstalling the app but it was of no use.

Can you please automatically add the +30 minutes adjustment for Umm al Qura during Ramadan for Isha times. It is not intuitive and practical for everyone to remember this information. If it updates automatically during Ramadan it would be more accurate. Thank you.

Android, OnePlus 11. Widget does not update despite all background settings and activity for application activity selected.

When I click on my location in thr Qibla section and try to change it, nothing happens. It saysnunder the information section ("i") that this is the way to change location manually but it does not work on my Android 9 phone

As we know the majority of downloads came up from arabic countries and we all looking for minimalistic design in apps especially our daily use apps .. but unfortunately pillars only support english and turkish so i would be glad to contribute in translating this app to arabic
I wouldn't ask you for nothing but the form i would fill to correct the misspelling and follow arabic strict grammar to complete this amazing app

the calculation methods especially for the Turkish Diyanet are not accurate. I had to adjust it manually. Thanks.

Athaan won’t work while the phone is on silent. Only the vibration and the notification will work however my other alarms work. I’ve attempted to play with the settings however it’s not still doing it

The qibla compass seems to be “frozen”. The arrow isn’t moving when I move.
And also when I click on the information sign (“i”), the information pops up but not the entire thing, the rest of it is “cropped” (incomplete sentence), & it doesn’t scroll further.

I can’t log Isha in the tracker on iOS. The Prayer trends banner at the bottom is in the way.
